Dr Oz Totally Agrees with The Awesome Power Of Smoothies

Further proof that drinking Smoothies for burning fat really is effective. I recently was watching an episode of Dr. Oz and he could not agree more on the topic. He specifically said smoothies that consist of a good quality protein powder is vital for the increased fat burning effect. Also unsweetened frozen Berries are a good option as well.

He did also stress like I did in my previous Blog post that watching your carbohydrate intake after 3pm is important... especially if your main goal is to lose some of that stubborn fat. We all know that when Insulin is spiked after a Carbohydrate rich meal... it's almost near impossible for your body to burn fat.

Dr. Oz also shared some low carb super fat burning smoothies on his show... Some of these were with pineapple, apple and even spinach! Interesting and powerful ingredients.








Do fat burning smoothies work? Or Are They Just Total Hype?



There are always many questions regarding their effectiveness! What I can say though, there is a great deal of Science proving they work. There is however certain ways on how to make these specifically to target those stubborn areas of fat such as the lower abdominal region.

Personally I have seen great success with leaning down and staying at a 7% body fat percentage and later on in this article I will tell you exactly what I did to get this low and trust me it's easier then you think. You won't starve at all and it's cost effective, this is exactly how I became so passionate about smoothies.

When is the best time to consume a fat burning smoothie? before or after workout?

Both these times are great, though I'd lean more towards After workout... since your primary goal is to burn as much fat as possible. Also if you're anything like me, first thing in the Morning I find it hard to eat breakfast, so having a delicious, high protein, medium carbohydrate smoothie is right up my alley. Example: 2 Scoops of Whey Protein, 1 Banana, 1 cup of unsweetened Almond Milk, 1 cup of natural Greek Yogurt, 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract and 1 tbs of Nutella Choc.

Nutritional Information:
Protein - 35g
Carb - 55g
Fat - 15g

This gives me high amounts of energy which is great considering my Job is physically demanding and also allows my body to burn fat all day with a higher Metabolism. I normally have 2 per day but in the later parts of the day I always opt for a lower carb alternative.

Here Are some Fat Burning Smoothies to Make At Home Right Now

strawberry smoothie:
2 Scoops of 'your choice' Low Carb Vanilla Protein
1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1/2 Cup Nonfat Greek Yogurt
1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
1/2 TSP Cinnamon
Stevia


Blend all the ingredients together.


Mixed Berry Smoothie : (Great Antioxidant Hit)
1 cup mixed frozen Berries
2 scoops of whey protein powder
1 cup soy milk
1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
Ice Cubes


Raspberry Smoothie:
1 cup frozen Raspberry
2 scoops protein
1 cup icy cold Water
